Mitre 10 Mega Ferrymead is looking to employee a full-time fixed term team member to assist instore with loss prevention duties. If you are customer focused with a good eye for detail and an interest in Loss Prevention, then we have the right role for you. Being in loss prevention, you will be dedicated to implementing our core Loss Prevention strategies. By doing this, you ensure not only a safe and happy place to shop but it provides the opportunity to minimise risk and prevent store loss.
We are looking for someone full time, initially on a fixed term 6 month contract, days and hours flexible between 7am - 7pm. This role may become permanent.
In a Loss Prevention role, your key focus is minimising loss from all sources by:
- Monitoring of store policies and procedures
- Identifying loss patterns
- Uncovering potential internal loses / theft.
- Identifying and deterring suspicious behaviour
- Removing opportunities for theft
- Providing a strong presence of security for our team and customers
- Ensuring a safe and secure store environment.
To be successful in a Loss Prevention role, you will:
- Have amazing communication skills, both written and oral
- Be confident and remain calm under pressure
- Good computer skills
- Be comfortable handling situations of conflict that may occur
- Be willing to go the extra mile to help our customers
- Maintain the highest level of integrity and honesty at all times.
- Physical fit - as you will be required to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Having a current COA (certificate of approval) an advantage
