- Health New Zealand Lakes is seeking a Senior Medical officer with a passion for improving the quality of life for their patients through Palliative Medicine.
- Rotorua Hospital is a District General Hospital in one of the most spectacular regions of New Zealand - native bush, beautiful lakes and rivers, unique geothermal landscapes and some of the best mountain biking and walking/running trails in NZ. Rotorua is also the perfect place to explore all that the North Island has to offer - it is only an hour from the spectacular east coast beaches, and an hour from stunning Lake Taupō with Mount Ruapehu offering skiing, tramping, fishing and water sports.

- Therefore, it is essential to have capability in delivering specialist services:

- to people and whanau who are experiencing a life limiting condition.
- Have experience in the acute hospital setting
- Has a focus on equitable services and health outcomes
- Actively participate in the education and training of under graduate and post graduate medical and nursing staff

To be suitable for this position applicants must:

- hold or be eligible for **Specialist (Vocational) registration** with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- provide an up to date CV, Cover Letter and 3 written references on an **RP6 form**

The above position comes with an attractive relocation remuneration package and CME allowance for successful long term and permanent appointments.
