Serology Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Serology Technician to join our team in Wellington, New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of serological tests and analyses to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of M. bovis.
- Process and analyze blood samples for serological testing
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments used in serology testing
- Perform quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Interpret and report test results to healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of test procedures and results
- Follow established laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and quality assurance measures
- Participate in the implementation of new testing methods and procedures
- Assist in the training and supervision of laboratory personnel as needed
**Qualifications**:
- Strong knowledge of serology testing procedures and techniques
- Experience with handling and processing blood samples (preferred)
- Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and instruments
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and protocols
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) (preferred)
- Familiarity with the healthcare system and regulations in New Zealand
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
