**The Role**

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will collaborate with an experienced team to design and develop premium industrial switchboards for a range of clients.

Your expertise will ensure the execution of these projects is done to a high standard and meet their business's current and future needs.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop electrical designs and layouts for industrial switchboards based on client specifications, industry standards, and applicable codes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and production personnel, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Perform detailed calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design performance and ensure optimal functionality.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and other engineering specifications.
- Support the procurement process by assisting with vendor selection, evaluating supplier capabilities, and reviewing technical proposals.
- Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations for design enhancements, cost optimization, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations throughout the design and development process.
- Collaborate with field service teams to provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in design processes.

**Skills & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or trade qualification will be advantageous.
- Proven experience in electrical design engineering, specifically in industrial switchboards or related fields.
- Proficiency in using CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards.
- Familiarity with switchgear, circuit breakers, motor controls, and power distribution systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within defined timelines.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external suppliers.
