**About the Role**
**Reporting to the Penrose DC Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operators and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service.**
**This role is based at our Penrose site, which is one of four modern and automated distribution centres that serves our customers across New Zealand. This is a salaried role working on our nightshift, Sunday (7pm to 5:30am), Monday to Thursday (9pm to 5:30am).

**What You Will Do**:
- Manage the daily activities of the warehouse team, including rostering, training, coaching, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures, and promote a safe and positive work environment
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels, stock accuracy, and warehouse capacity
- Work with other teams to make sure the orders are delivered to the customers on time and correctly
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and quality

You will have solid experience in a warehouse or logistics role ideally in a manufacturing or distribution environment. This is a hands-on role, so it requires someone who is used to being busy with warehouse work while also finding ways to improve it.
To be considered for this role you will possess:
- A relevant qualification or certificate in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team of warehouse operators
- Excellent communication, people, and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control systems
- Solid understanding of reporting & training along with H&S improvement focus
- A current forklift licence and experience in operating various types of warehouse equipment
