Catering Assistant

27 Bed Specialist Dementia Care
- 27.5 hours per week (7am - 1pm Monday to Friday)
- Drivers’ licence needed (minimum restricted)

We are seeking a reliable individual who enjoys interacting with the elderly and making their day by serving amazing meals. This rewarding role is perfect for someone looking for a part time position allowing more time for family and friends.

What you will do:

- take sole charge responsibility for the meal service at Bainlea House, transporting food from nearby Bainswood on Victoria.
- basic food preparation and baking, either at Bainlea House or assisting the chef at Bainswood on Victoria.
- plate and serve meals to residents, being aware of dietary requirements.
- maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard free kitchen,

You will need to:

- be friendly and engaging with a flexible, committed, can-do attitude,
- be an exceptional team player who is able to take responsibility and work unsupervised.
- have a practical understanding of New Zealand Food Control and Safety Regulations.
- have good time management skills.
- have at least a Restricted Drivers’ Licence in order to transport food and dishes between sites.
- work Monday to Friday, 7am - 1pm with the flexibility to work the occasional weekend day if required.
