**About the team**

Our Corporate Services division ensures that all matters relating to the delivery of Transpower's capital structure & funding, procurement & supply strategy, financial management, including Enterprise Performance Management governance, business performance, and corporate support infrastructure are delivered safely to time, budget, and quality requirements.

Our Treasury team manage interest rate, liquidity, credit, investment, funding, foreign exchange, and commodity risks within Transpower Treasury policy limits. The team oversees the insurance function within the parameters of Transpower's corporate Insurance Policy and Investment Policy and manages internal and external financial and insurance relationships.

**About the opportunity ~9-month parental leave cover**

We're seeking a collaborative Treasury Dealer/Analyst to join our team and work across the business and alongside Corporate Services to manage cash and currency risk management and reporting for Transpower and our insurance operations and captive insurer - Risk Reinsurance Limited (RRL).

Transpower has a ~ $3 billion debt programme to support a $6 billion asset portfolio of critical national importance, and insurances for $1 billion worth of cover, so the work you do matters

You'll have real impact as you:

- Assist the Treasurer in managing
- cash
- Currency
- interest rate risk and
- insurance claims
- Complete risk analytical reporting for the Treasury function
- Independently run medium level treasury projects, communicating issues as appropriate
- Provide cover support in the event of absence of the Treasurer, or Deputy Treasurer

You'll build rapport and highly effective internal relationships at all levels. Externally, you will engage with domestic and offshore financial markets dealers, underwriters, insurance brokers, credit rating agencies, trustees of borrowing programmes, investors, lawyers, and auditors.

**About you**

You're an experienced Treasury Dealer/Analyst, with well-developed communication and influencing skills, who is used to working in a fast-paced multi-faceted environment.

Your ability to independently project manage, or provide specialist expertise and assistance on larger, organisation-wide projects will see you take on stimulating work assignments. Your existing knowledge and experience, coupled with an inquisitive mind and strong attention to detail, will make you a welcome addition to our Treasury team.

**What will you bring?**

To be considered, you'll hold a degree in finance, economics, accounting, or an equivalent tertiary qualification. Your CV and cover letter will clearly demonstrate the following experience:

- Managing daily cash, funding, and foreign currency risks
- Bloomberg, FXGO, and GTreasury system or equivalent
- An ability to manage projects independently, or assist with larger, enterprise-wide projects
- Demonstrable ability to analyse and interpret information and perform complex calculations
- Understanding/experience of insurance, financial, risk, and treasury
- Experience in financial and/or insurance industry

While not essential, experience or understanding in the following areas is desirable:

- Risk monitoring and management
- Insurance markets and rating agency requirements
