Key responsibilities of the role:

- Ward rounds and ward work
- Outpatient clinics
- Pre-theatre assessments and operation lists
- On-call duties
- Multi-disciplinary meetings, case conferences and reviews

- We engage the registrars and Senior House Officers to learn in a collegial and supportive environment
- Ensure an annual clinical audit plan is implemented to provide evidence of improvement and good patient outcome
- Review and monitor progress through the use of key quality indicators/ performance indicators and take action to improve as needed
- Receive patient feedback - national inpatient survey, complaints, feedback cards, compliments and act on areas where improvement required
- Support the strategic quality objectives within their area of responsibility

**Mōu | About you**

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:

- Vocational registration in a Obstetrics and Gynaecology speciality
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand with scope of practice
- A practising certificate with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Satisfactory check as per the Children’s Act
- Experience in building and sustaining collaborative working relationships in a high-pressure environment to enable and deliver effective change management.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others
