**About the team**:
The Safety & Assurance Group is responsible for enterprise-wide safety, assurance, and corporate improvement initiatives. This includes activity across operational and organisational safety, security, audit and assurance, business improvement, safety reporting and analysis, investigations, and oversight of the Safety Management System.

**About the role**:
This newly created role will form part of our team based in Christchurch (Burnside). Reporting to the Audit, Assurance & Project Safety Manager and working closely with our Lead Auditor and Senior Auditor & Risk Specialist, you’ll support the team by assisting with the planning and execution of audits and assurance reviews.

This will see you evaluate internal controls, audit the activities of various business units within Airways for compliance with plans, policies and procedures prescribed by management. Additionally, you’ll review assigned portions of audit programmes, determine compliance with policies and procedures, recommend corrective action plans, and prepare and submit reports on the results of audits.

**About you**:
You’ll have a safety mindset, be proactive and inquisitive with the ability to effectively assess and communicate risks.

As an outstanding and natural communicator, you will be an avid listener and your stakeholder relationship skills will be second to none. Additionally, you’ll hold:

- A degree in Commerce, Audit or Business Management or equivalent vocational qualification
- At least 2 to 3 years audit experience (internal and/or external) gained in an organisation of similar size (800+ employees) and complexity (SOE with multiple locations and companies).
- Exceptional organisational, analytical, and planning skills.
- Well-developed skills at using Microsoft suite of products, with a focus on MS Word and Excel.

Beneficial:

- CISA/CIA certification.
- Risk management experience.
