Overview / Role Description
The Director of Operations responsibilities will focus on our annual strategic planning process, overall company operations, and internal product management to drive operational excellence at Auror. The mission: Build the best place, to do our best work.
This role will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Auror and supporting the scale of our operations across New Zealand, Australia, North America, UK and Europe.

**Strategy and Operations**:
Contribute to, facilitate, and operationalise a collaborative Annual Planning process. Developing and executing strategies that support Auror’s growth objectives.
Implement data-driven decision-making processes to drive operational excellence and achieve strategic goals.
Support Auror with moving towards a more metrics-informed approach. Enabling every Auror to understand the metrics that matter most that help us make the right decisions.
Own our company-wide meetings - including planning and delivery of Monthly Town Halls and Quarterly Meetings
Design and implement frameworks that enable people to be highly effective in their roles. Examples, decision-making frameworks and rituals that align to our Guiding Principles
Establish metrics that measure the effectiveness of Operations. Analyse the data to measure the effectiveness of operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Lead the development and implementation of strategies that enhance our internal communication, fostering transparency, alignment, and collaboration across all levels of Auror.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**:
Foster collaboration across Auror to create seamless processes and improve overall business performance.
Drive special projects across Auror to support teams in optimising technology or ways of working
Coach different teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives (BPM’s).
**Internal Product Management**:
Own company-wide communication tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and Loom), driving strong utilisation and collaboration.
Design and implement scalable technology and processes to support the Auror’s growth.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows to increase effectiveness.
Over time, this role would be responsible for a team. The responsibilities of our leaders include:
Exemplify authentic leadership by consistently embodying Auror’s Guiding Principles, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment, and inspiring team members through genuine and transparent communication
Taking ownership of developing priorities and objectives alongside the team
Attract, develop, and retain a strong Operations team
Creating clear expectations for the Operations team regarding performance.
This role reports to Kirsti Grant, Chief People Experience Officer:
I have spent the last 16 years working with some of NZ’s most well-known tech companies either as a team member or as an advisor. I started out in recruitment before jumping into the broader PX space because when I thought about what made me happiest, it was those moments where people told me that they had their dream job. I wanted to help more people experience that feeling, and Auror has been an incredible place to do that. I love our purpose, the impact we make, our people, our customers, and I am so excited about our future.
I love diving into everything that comes with high-growth companies, I’m curious, always learning, and there’s no job too big or small - I’m motivated by the impact.
My work is a big part of who I am outside of work; when I’m not at Auror, I’m involved in investing in and advising companies, and when I’m not doing that, I’m either spending time with my family, at the pilates studio, or I’m eating. I love food and fancy myself as an excellent restaurant recommendation engine.
