**Cardiologist - Part-time 0.8 FTE**

In response to healthcare demands at the largest and fastest growing population of all Health Districts in New Zealand, Waitemata experiences significant growth year on year in our people, services and facilities.

Waitemata cardiology service provides high quality acute and elective cardiology services at North Shore and Waitakere hospitals through inpatient and procedural facilities at both sites, with CTCA, cardiac MRI, diagnostic angiograms and coronary intervention currently provided at the North Shore site.

We are now offering a part-time permanent role to a cardiologist with proven expertise in non-invasive imaging to support the demand for service growth in these areas.

You will be joining our team of 18 specialist cardiology consultants, contribute to outpatient clinics with rostered weeks for on call and ward consults at both North Shore and Waitakere hospital sites.

Consultants are supported by a team of junior doctors for inpatient facilities at each site with additional support from advanced trainee registrar positions in cardiac echo and the cardiac catheter laboratory.

Key skills required are primarily in all cardiac echo procedures (transthoracic, transoesophageal and stress echocardiography) and cardiac CT. Our consultants are a dedicated, patient focused team who work closely with their support disciplines (sonographers, nurses, physiologists and radiographers) to assist with training and maintain an excellent quality of service delivery.
