**About the role**:
We are looking for a Process Computer Engineer to join the team. This is a day position, reporting to the Steel Plant Technical Superintendent.

The purpose of the Process Computer Engineer role is to provide high level competent and professional Process Computing services to enable effective control of the Steel Plant process and operation. The process is controlled by a Foxboro DCS system.

The role will contribute to the business through maintaining and enhancing the process control systems within the Steel Plant operation.

The Steel Plant is a designated High Risk facility. A key focus is to ensure the requirements of this status are maintained to each of the 14 BlueScope Steel safety standards.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will hold a University degree or extensive industry experience.

**You will also have**:

- Experience in the programming and administration of Foxboro DCS systems.
- The ability to work with customers and deal with enquiries and complaints.
- Experience in developing and managing plans to achieve budgeted outcomes.
- The ability to liaise with stakeholders and have good communication skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to achieving safety excellence and instilling a safety-first culture.

Your strong analytical skills, practical problem-solving abilities, excellent planning and organizational skills and experience in manufacturing excellence will be essential for this role.
