**The Opportunity**

Here’s your chance to join the Wellington team where we take pride in taking on projects, big and small, and delivering them to world-class standards - every time Other locations where you may be expected work include Canterbury, Otago, Southland and Marlborough.

As a Steel fixer/Chargehand you will assist with a diverse range of construction projects across the Wellington region. Working alongside our dedicated team your primary role will be to carry out civil infrastructure construction activities, setting up steel rebar for fixing, reading rebar schedules, giving instructions to other steel fixers, shuttering and carpentry, placing/ finishing concrete and some general welding associated with piling, concrete bridge and other concrete structures and maintenance activities.

**Important Skills**

**NZ Citizens or Residents**:You will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you:

- A high commitment to Health & Safety
- Strong steel fixing experience preferred and able to read and understand steel fixing drawings
- NZ Register Level 2 or 3 qualification or at least one year of relevant experience
- Piling experience preferred
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
- Experience with other machinery a plus

You will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you.
- at least 3 years’ relevant work experience, or
- a relevant qualification at level 4 or above of the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF).
- Ability to communicate and work well with others
