Do you have the ability to engage and motivate rangatahi who haven’t previously had success with education?

The person we are looking for has the ability to change lives through learning and the ability to influence, inspire and motivate. While tutoring experience is an advantage, we also value your skills and previous experience working with rangatahi.

This is a **full time tutor role in Palmerston North** and to be successful in this role you need the following attributes:

- Experience working with rangatahi/young people.
- Ability to relate, engage and motivate rangatahi from diverse backgrounds.
- Understanding of Te Ao Maori me ona Tikanga.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good administration and computer skills.
- Strict adherence to health and safety standards and procedures.
- Full driver’s licence.
- High standard of professionalism and integrity.
- Unit standard 4098 and the National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education Level 5 or **willing to study to achieve**.
- First aid certificate or **willing to obtain one**.

Preferred:

- An understanding of adult learning
- Knowledge and understanding of NZ education standards.
