Platinum Recruitment have partnered with Presbyterian Support Otago in the search for a Payroll specialist to manage and oversee all aspects of the payroll process, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. **The role**
Reporting to the People, Culture, & Capability Manager this role is responsible for the day to day supervision of payroll processing, system maintenance, system maintenance, records and reporting, ensuring that all activities are completed to a very high degree of accuracy and within agreed time-frames, with good customer service and support.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Overall supervision and completion of payroll production and maintenance
- Ensuring new employees are set up in the payroll system correctly and on time
- Overall responsibility for the quality and secure storage of employees’ personal information
- Ensuring all payroll tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Supervision, guidance and support for one direct report
- Ensuring the weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll reports are completed and all relevant information is provided to Managers.

**To be successful you will need**:

- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Leadership or supervisor experience within a payroll environment or demonstrated leadership potential.
- Knowledge of up-to-date employment related legislation e.g. Holidays Act, Employment Relations Act, etc.
- Great communication skills with a variety of stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Great team player and supportive approach to leadership
