Our vision is to deliver "a global education ecosystem that develops life-ready students who learn how to learn".
Ignite a Passion for Language at OSGNZ
Are you enthusiastic about bringing the beauty of languages to life for students?
Due to growth within our secondary school and our commitment to expanding our face-to-face teaching capacity, OSGNZ is excited to announce an opening for a talented Languages Teacher—specializing in Spanish or French. Whether you’re seeking a full-time or part-time role, we would love to hear from passionate educators ready to inspire the next generation of linguists.
**Locations**: Any OSG Campus within NZ
**Position Type**: Full-Time or Part-Time (Both Considered)
Languages are key to broadening students' horizons, enhancing their cultural understanding, and equipping them with skills that will benefit them in our increasingly interconnected world. At OSGNZ, we recognize that learning a second language is more than just acquiring vocabulary and grammar—it's about fostering global citizens who appreciate and engage with diverse cultures.
Your role will be instrumental in shaping students’ linguistic abilities, from building foundational skills to mastering advanced language concepts. Familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA requirements is essential as you guide students through their assessments and prepare them for success in their language studies and beyond.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and deliver engaging and interactive language lessons that capture students' interest and enhance their understanding of Spanish or French.
- Foster a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to take risks and develop their language skills confidently.
- Integrate cultural education into language teaching, helping students appreciate the broader context of the language they are learning.
- Prepare students for NCEA assessments, ensuring they meet curriculum standards and excel in their examinations.
- Utilize both traditional and digital teaching tools to create a dynamic classroom experience, whether in-person or online.
**What We Offer**:
- Competitive Remuneration: Enjoy a competitive salary that values your expertise and dedication to language education.
- Auckland Living Allowance: To acknowledge the cost of living in NZ's most expensive city, we offer our Auckland-based Campus staff a living allowance.
- Professional Development: Access our Teacher Academy for ongoing training and development opportunities tailored to enhance your skills as a language educator.
- Supportive Environment: Join a supportive school community with resources and mentorship to help you thrive in your role.
- Cutting-Edge Technology: Utilize innovative technology and modern learning resources to enhance your language curriculum and engage students in interactive learning experiences.
- Collaborative Culture: Work alongside passionate educators who share your commitment to excellence in language education.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with manageable workload expectations and no after-school commitments.
**Requirements**:
- All applicants must have New Zealand-based experience, preferably including experience with NCEA.
**Application Process**:
Applications will be reviewed as they come in, and an appointment may be made prior to the close date.
**Close Date**: Friday 27th September 2024 (unless an appointment is made prior).
OneSchool Global is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
