**Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role**:
We have a great teaching opportunity for an Academic Staff Member who has experience in carpentry and enjoys working on projects. You will be sharing your technical knowledge as well as your practical skills with our L3 and/or Waikato Trades Academy learners to enable them to become carpenters, builders, project managers and much more.
If you are ready to progress your career to the next level, this could be the position for you. If you have a passion for the building industry, are confident in presenting and teaching to our ākonga, we would like to hear from you.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,000 and $85,000 dependent on skills and experience.
This role is based in our Wintec | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Team Manager Carpentry and will be responsible for:
- Bringing your industry experience to this tutoring role.
- Creating new networks and forging strong links to your industry.
- Using your career experience and skills to ensure professional programme delivery.
**He kōrero mōu| About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Be a qualified carpenter or have applicable years experience in this field.
- Teaching/management experience is desirable but not essential.
- Have a recognised Trade or National Certificate in Carpentry/Construction.
- Be an enthusiastic team player.
- Have a high level of interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
