***About The Role**
AUT International performs a crucial role in developing the university's international profile, building international relations, and ensuring the effective delivery of the university's international student recruitment targets.
The Regional Manager looks after "business to business" relationships with key education agencies, schools and other institutions in the region and plays a leading part in the development and coordination of the marketing and recruitment plans, working in conjunction with our offshore recruitment staff and at the direction of the Director International Relations and Recruitment. The role also provides expertise and analytics of regional markets, providing knowledge of local culture, government and education system, market insights and opportunities and key stakeholders. It works closely with the rest of the AUT International team to achieve our overall and region specific KPIs. This role has a particular focus on South and Southeast Asia markets.
**Skills And Experience**
You will bring with you:
- Minimum five years' experience working in the International Office or similar environment
- Experience of building and managing relationships with government and private sector recruitment organisations and agents
- A sound understanding of the education environment in countries of responsibility, particular in South and Southeast Asia markets
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to advise and influence others and work across a multi-cultural context
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to organise events if required
- Strong analytical skills to provide proactive solutions to agents, students and the public
- Ability to work well within a team
