Based in the Mount Maunganui Kāhui Akō
He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
A kāhui akō is also known as a Community of Learning (COL) or a cluster of schools usually in a geographical area.
This role will work with Te Waka Hourua o Mount Maunganui Kāhui Akō within its Learning Support Delivery model to ensure that tamariki with mental health and wellbeing needs are identified, and interventions are put into place to support their emotional and mental health resilience from a whānau perspective.
If you are passionate about providing mental health early intervention and prevention to tamariki and whānau in Years 1-8 within a Kāhui Akō (cluster of schools), and you are innovative and creative and comfortable with working primarily in a schools-based setting then we want to hear from you
This is a permanent, full-time position.

The successful applicant will hold relevant qualifications and experience as either a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Counsellor.
