OSM is currently seeking a Floorman for an upcoming project

**General Summary**

Assists the Assistant Driller with the various phases of the drilling operations and with the general maintenance and upkeep of the equipment on the floor of the rig and the immediate work area.

**Requirements**:

- BOSEIT (HUET not accepted)
- OGUK Medical
- Gas testing - Preferred
- Rigging / Slinging - Preferred
- Confined space - Preferred
- CPTW - Preferred
- Working at heights - Preferred

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assists in assembling, disassembling, and testing of blowout preventers
- Assists is assembling and disassembling drill pipe strings, using tongs, above and below connection; using powered tongs
- Maintains adequate housekeeping standards on the drill floor, to include organizing racks and tools, and performing visual and functional safety inspection
- Undertakes fabric maintenance including the preparation and painting of decks, bulkhead, hand rails and associated equipment as directed.
- Assists Derrickman with the preparation of the drilling fluid using mud mixing equipment
- Monitors, maintains and assists in repairing drilling fluid pumps
- Assists in the assembling/disassembling and testing of blowout preventers and the flow lines as directed by the Subsea Engineer
- Must have some knowledge of the operation of rotary drill equipment
- Undertakes emergency duties as per the emergency Station Bill
- Report to their immediate supervisor, any situation that may constitute a hazard or that may cause injury to themselves or others, which can not be corrected by them.
- Ensuring all work is carried out as safely and efficiently as possible by complying with the safety management system training and safety policies and procedures.
- Undertake all assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner and being fully aware of ongoing operations by ensuring clear understanding of supervisors instruction.
- Participate fully in safety initiatives and programs
- Attend and if necessary participate in all pre-tour, pre-job, and weekly safety meetings as per the company procedures.
- Communicate pertinent matters pertaining to the operations and equipment under their control to their relief at shift and crew change.
- Work Safely, act safely and take reasonable care of the personal health and safety and that of others.

**Minimum Experience / Education Level Required**
- Minimum 1 year experience as Roustabout
