We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our School of Creative Industries. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of School and the Production and Facilities Manager to ensure the efficient management, operation, and maintenance of all equipment used within the School. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of our creative facilities, ensuring that all audio-visual, lighting, stage, and film and television equipment are functioning optimally to support our educational and creative endeavours.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
You have a genuine interest in learning te Reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori. You're passionate about creating diverse, inclusive, and equitable environments and have actively engaged in such initiatives. Your tech-savvy nature means you're fully computer literate, with a solid grasp of professional audio-visual, lighting, and stage software/hardware, as well as film and television software.
You understand the ins and outs of digital and analogue signal flow and the operation of performing and screen arts technology. Your enthusiasm for the educational process shines through, and you're confident in operating the necessary equipment. Your effective interpersonal skills make you a great communicator and team player.
**Desirable**:
- You bring at least 4 years of experience in the performing and screen arts industry.
- Ideally, you hold a Diploma in Performing and Screen Arts Technology, a National Certificate in Film and Television, a National Certificate in Production Sound and Electronic Multimedia, or have equivalent experience.
