Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha's Women's
and Children's Service has an exciting opportunity for a senior Registered
Nurse to join our cohesive, supportive team, and lead the team in our Paediatric
Medical Ward, Ward A7 and Children's High Care Unit, as their Charge Nurse
Manager.
The Charge Nurse Manager role has a function that
is both clinical and operational, therefore it is expected you will have proven
leadership ability, a clear focus on child health, excellent
interpersonal/communication skills and are motivated to work collaboratively as
part of a multidisciplinary team.

Your ability to work effectively with the Nursing
Director and Senior Management team to ensure financial and operational
objectives are carried out in line with the CDHB vision is imperative to your
success in this role.
We are looking for a dynamic, confident and
competent Senior Registered Nurse who wishes to be responsible for supporting
and enabling the provision of quality nursing care for the children and
families/whanau within our care.

- Expert clinical nursing knowledge and leadership ability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.
- Strategic

thinking and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiar with operational, personnel and financial management
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software
- A commitment to post graduate study either having completed or have
commenced the post graduate pathway.
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practising Certificate
and hold a relevant Post Graduate qualification.Your professional attitude, along with your
enthusiasm and ability to provide expert nursing knowledge and clinical
leadership will see you succeed in leading this diverse team. It is envisaged
you will have extensive clinical experience in the child health field and will
hold or be working towards, an appropriate post graduate qualification.
