We have an exciting opening for a generalist human resources practitioner to join our supportive team as an HR Consultant. Known for its complexity the health sector is a rewarding place to work. This is an opportunity to join a team that makes a difference to the delivery of health services with our equity lens and regional public health response.

No two days are the same here. You’ll get to actively partner with our complex and diverse organisation to develop, advise, and support people leaders across the full spectrum of human resources. In any one day you could be; supporting workforce performance, liaising with unions or completing job evaluations. You will work collaboratively with the business partnering team to deliver practical HR solutions in an organisation dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our community.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

You will be a true generalist who has developed a broad range of skills with experience in; people solutions, employment relations, change management, union relationships, performance management and more. You’ll have a minimum of 3 years HR Generalist experience and be passionate about delivering exceptional service and driving positive change.

You’ll need to be a motivated team player who enjoys open and honest communication with your peers; we know HR can have its more challenging days so having that support is essential.

- A university degree in HR, Law or a relevant business discipline.
- Collaborative and collegial working practices
- A high level of personal resilience and emotional intelligence
- Effective co-ordination, influencing, conflict resolution and negotiation skills

We do also require you to evidence strong knowledge of HR compliance requirements and relevant legislation (Employment Relations Act).
