**About the opportunity**

Our Studholme site specialises in producing milk powders including standard and high heat whole milk powders, butter milk powder and whey protein concentrate powder.

We have a 12 month fixed term leadership opportunity covering parental leave for a L8 Supervisor - Processing (Powders) to deliver outstanding results in our manufacturing operations.

You will be on the factory floor using your leadership experience to coach and manage a great team of Processing Operators. Keeping a strong focus on Health & Safety, you will be monitoring our processing lines, while optimising plant efficiency and operating costs.

Day to day, you will supervise processes to meet and optimise operational targets, product specifications, regulatory requirements, administrative systems, and functional relationships. You will have a strong attention to detail to ensure you can keep an eye on quality control and maintain products to tight customer specifications, while ensuring documentation is up to date.

Reporting to our Process Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

- Supervising production and packing processes to meet operational targets
- Planning and allocating work & resources, managing time and attendance systems
- Providing feedback on staff performance and development
- Participating in the recruitment process and resolving people issues
- Driving a positive, Health & Safety focused team culture.

This is a 12 month fixed term position on a rostered shift of four on (two days, two nights 12-hour shifts) and four off, which provides an excellent work-life balance.

**About you**

Whilst a passion for continuous improvement is a pivotal aspect of these roles, other ideal skills include:

- Powder Processing experience
- Strong people skills and the ability to connect and inspire a team
- Sound planning and problem-solving ability.
- Solid numerical and computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
