Downer is an industry leader in water, providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset lifecycle from the conceptual development of a project through design, construction, commissioning and whole-of-life support and optimisation.

Based in Tauranga, Downer NZ has multiple opportunities for Drainage Servicepersons to join their team supporting our Tauranga / Western BOP contracts. The Drainage Serviceperson is responsible for undertaking routine and emergency maintenance actions on Stormwater and Wastewater assets.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

To be successful in this role you will need to have a can-do attitude, be adaptable and flexible in your work approach with attention to detail, and strong customer service focus. In addition, you should have,
- Class 1 driver’s license, class 2 & RTW an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of urban and rural water, wastewater, and stormwater reticulation an advantage but not a requirement
- An interest in the operation of water and drainage treatment & reticulation
- Computer skills, being able to operate and input data into a mobile field device.
- Strong communication skills
- Uses initiative (able to solve problem as they occur without reference to Manager)
- Self-motivated, energetic, proactive and results-orientated
- Strong focus on Health and Safety
- A great attitude, willing to learn new skills and build a stable, safe career
