Growing Industrial Electrical Engineering equipment company who do electrical design, build, installation, and service work.

**The Opportunity**
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to take the Electrical Design off the owner’s plate so he can be freed up to focus on sales and building the business.

Ideally you have an Electrical Engineering qualification and electrical design experience in a relevant CAD package like AutoCAD Electrical.

Additional training will be given on the job by the company owner so you will be learning from the best.

You will also be given OEM training on the switchboards they make too.

Location: Rotorua is ideal initially, but the role doesn’t need to be based there forever. There is potential to move to one of their other locations in time, e.g. Auckland, Hamilton, or Christchurch.

**What you will do**

1 Electrical Design & drawings in CAD - mainly Switchboard design and build in their Rotorua workshop next to their new office there.
This will include:

- Electrical Schematics in CAD
- General Assembly drawings for Controls and MCC boards
- Power Distribution Design
- Site reticulation LV transmission to devices
- Electrical Engineering for Solar packages
- BOM creation and basic schedules to price and deliver
- As built drawings
- Management of drawing database and document control

2 Liaising with clients.

3 Technical Quotes (in time).

4 Sales (a potential career trajectory in time).

5 Travel: There could be some travel in this role, but it won’t be a major component. E.g. travel to customer sites (especially if you follow a career path into sales) and also to tradeshows e.g. in places in Europe like Germany or closer to home in Australia.

**Does this sound like you?**
- Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma
- Electrical CAD Design experience, preferably with Industrial Switchboards
