Reporting to the Contracts and Commercial Manager, this position will provides support to review, design, develop and execute the Wastenet 2020-2026 Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (WMMP) and the associated Waste Activity Plan (WAP). Working with key internal and external stakeholders, you will lead the way for waste minimisation through continuous assessment, waste education, improvement and day-to-day execution of the WMMP and WAP. You will also seek out opportunities to improve the waste streams for operational effectiveness whilst reducing waste and costs and, working with the wider WasteNet Team, and, assess and prioritise the introduction of approved opportunities. This will all be supported through clear, robust and timely reporting and administration of the Request for Service (RFS) system.
To be successful in this position you will have demonstrable knowledge and active interest of waste management, sustainability and waste minimisation. Experience developing reports and using the information to improve the waste streams, speaking and communicating with a wide and diverse audience, knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and Codes of Practice within the waste space, a positive can-do attitude and innovative prowess and definitely a genuine passion for the environment and for the planet.
