An exciting opportunity has come about for a very proactive and diligent Loss Prevention Officer to join our dynamic and fast-paced business.

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for preventing any form of loss to the business and ensuring the safety of staff and customers at all times. This role will see you accountable for conducting regular store patrols, monitoring highly targeted items across the store, ensuring a secure premises including the carpark/disability parks, communicating regularly with the wider team and producing detailed incident reports. This also includes working closely with the local Police to ensure the work place is secure at all times. There is also an element of Duty Management within this role.

This is a permanent full time position covering 40 hours per week **from Sunday to Thursday - hours will be discussed at interview stage.**
**Your duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Handle all steps in the process relating to the apprehension and processing of shop lifters / customer theft, including liaising regularly with appropriate employees to identify steps and systems to reduce all loss (e.g. stock loss, loss through paperwork errors, customer theft, and staff theft.)
- Undertake door guard responsibilities - ensure all customers entering the store are acknowledged and greeted as appropriate to deter would-be shoplifters. Ensure all contractors etc on site follow appropriate policies
- Ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed and maintained as required including, but not limited to, trespass notices, police reports and security reports
- Ensure all instore programmes and processes re loss prevention are kept up to date and any changes to these programmes and processes are appropriately communicated to all staff
- Liaise appropriately with external bodies (e.g. police) to ensure all systems and processes are up to date and legally compliant. Also maintain relationships with appropriate community groups
**To succeed in this position you will need to possess**:

- Ability to work under pressure
- Reliable and great work ethics
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills

Previous experience in the Loss Prevention/Security industry would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.
