**Te tūnga | The role**

Across Stats NZ the Statistical and Data Design roles are responsible for researching, designing, and implementing a range of innovative data and analytical solutions to support and inform all stages of the data and statistics lifecycle across Stats NZ.

You would be joining the operational business unit responsible for the design and planning of all of Stats NZ's data collections through surveys and administrative data feeds. As a Senior Design Analyst, you will be responsible for the collection design and planning of a portfolio of surveys, building and maintaining relationship with our internal customers.

You would be engaging with a broad range of people to understand data collection requirements and the operational realities and provide support in the form of expert guidance and advice to our operational teams and internal customers.

This role will be based in Christchurch or Wellington, but we are open to applicants in other locations as well.
