**Job Description** About the Opportunity**:
We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our supportive and friendly Operations team based in Whakatane. This is a key supervisory role, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of municipal and commercial collection services, maintaining a high level of health and safety focus while driving operational excellence and management of your team.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Supervising, planning and coordinating kerbside collections and drivers
- Management of service delivery and meeting contract KPI requirements
- Ensuring H&S compliance is always maintained
- Coordinating of fleet maintenance
- A focus on operational efficiencies and fleet utilisation
- Leading a culture of safety first and maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Ability to operate site plant & equipment.
- Assisting with training and development of your team

**Qualifications** Skills and experience**

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

- Relevant experience and track record managing a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively with the public and wide-ranging customer base.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills as well as an excellent focus on safety are crucial for the role.
- Medium computer skills to maintain necessary reporting and administration requirements
- Passion to take ownership of a business unit and progress ongoing improvements.
- Hold a class 2 or 4 HT licence with previous driving experience (desirable).
