The Service Advisor carries out a range of duties related to being the key contact between the customer and the dealership for repair and maintenance of vehicles, including but not limited to the following:
Meeting customers at their vehicle

Handling workshop enquires and Service bookings
- Writing up repair orders for work to be completed- Following Kodawari Procedures (process)- Keeping customers up to date with vehicle progress- Organising of courtesy vehicles- Estimating the costs and time frames needed to complete agreed work- Monitor and follow up on work progress to ensure all work is carried out in the allocated time frame- Gaining authorisation for any additional work- Helping to bring new business into the service department- Promoting the dealership and the Toyota brand- Complete all necessary training internally, online and classroom- Ensure efficient daily operations with efficient processes- Maintain/develop excellent coordination and cooperation with the Parts & Sales Departments through sharing of information- Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times- Carry out any other reasonable request by the Service Manager to ensure best practicesSkills & Experience
- Demonstrates an open and honest assertive communication style that focuses on being fair and respectful
- Displays a friendly, caring and enthusiastic manner through good use of tone, eye contact and open body language in all face to face interactions
- Displays exceptional active listening skills through the use of reflective listening, taking notes, using the person’s name and empathic short replies
- Communicates effectively with a diverse range of people by tailoring communication to the listener and situation
- Is able to adapt communication style to take into account the listener’s level of technical knowledge enabling them to clearly understand any issues and recommendations

Ability to work with the public, trade customers and shop technicians in a courteous and professional manner

Have a great attitude, sense of humour and willingness to assist customers
