**Job Description**:
You will use your technical delivery experience to help our client build the right thing the right way, promote effective ways of working, proactively manage risks and ensure quality and timely delivery of initiatives.

This role is surrounded by a great team at Visa and our client, works on fun and interesting work, and is always looking to improve how we operate.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

- Work with product owners and business analysts, translating business requirements into customer centric solutions
- Work with the squad, architect and Visa Delivery Lead on technical scoping. This may include reviewing the merits of in-house build, Visa Product and 3rd-party Product solutions.
- Become an expert on Visa’s products and solutions: offering support to your colleagues and acting as a conduit into Visa expertise for complex queries.
- Contributing to the ongoing improvement of engineering practice, development processes, tools, strategy, and methodology
- Provide guidance to other team members, mentoring and coaching of less experienced team members
- Create a learning culture as well as sharing your knowledge with the team

To be successful in this role, you will be/ bring:

- Great communicator. You are happy to work alongside a team where you talk openly and constructively about technical issues.
- Work in a “build it and run it” environment where teams build, deploy, monitor and support the microservices that they own.
- Knowledge and experience in a full stack environment, this may include the following: microservice development, using technology such as Spring Boot, Java 8+, Spring, Node.js, ES6, or TypeScript
- Solid experience in software and microservice design, familiar with design patterns and best practices
- REST APIs - how to design, build, maintain microservices and best practices, including security and performance tunning
- API development and integration experience using REST/JSON, Kafka, message queues
- Experience with API service testing, such as unit, integration, acceptance, TDD / BDD, mocking and stubbing
- Thorough understanding of microservice architecture and its pros and cons
- Good working knowledge of Linux
- Solid technical knowledge of database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Mongo)
- DevSecOps Practice and knowledge/experience through implementation
- Configuring continuous integration, deployment, and delivery tools like Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Container-based development using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
