Ashburton, New Zealand Stuart Tarbotton Contractors Full time

Install, repair and remove drainage/three waters services
- Read and understand civil construction plans and permits
- Obtain pipework and fittings from local suppliers
- Arrange or undertake testing/QA as required
- Work with our in-house surveyor to capture as built information
- Maintain good Health & Safety practices on site
- Be flexible and willing to operate a machine or a shovel as required from time to time.

**To be successful in the role you must be/have**:

- Certified Drainlayer (PGDB and or Certificate 4 Civil construction)
- 3 or more years’ experience as a drainlayer.
- Experience with fusion welding, confined spaces, along with installing valves, hydrants, anchor blocks, and working with the local council for inspections and signoffs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams
- Efficient time management and the ability to plan and organise workload
- Self-motivated and ability to work safely and unsupervised
- Ability to complete jobs to a high standard (no shortcuts)
- Sound understanding of health and safety
- Class 1 license — 2 to 5 would be an advantage
