Hamilton, New Zealand Chim Thai Full time

This position is located at Chim Thai, 9/111, Rototuna, Hamilton. You must be able to mix cocktails, smoothies and cover barista duties. You must be 20 years of age or over in case you are required to act as Manager for sale of Alcohol. Your shift will usually be 11am-2.30 pm or 5 pm to 9.30 pm. Key tasks are:

- Set up outdoor furniture in the mornings for lunch service, open restaurant
- Greet customers promptly
- Answer questions about menu items, wine and other beverages
- Gracefully suggest/upsell additional menu items, such as desserts and drinks
- Accurately take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff via POS system and use POS system to accurately calculate the patron’s bill
- Filling and mixing drink orders from the bar
- Offer special assistance to patrons with specific needs, such as highchairs for children
- Memorize the menu for on-demand recitation and questions about ingredients and taste profile
- Understand and comply with all conditions relating to the Employer’s license under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act
- Clearing tables promptly and front of house cleaning.
- Glass and dishwashing and operating dishwasher machines. Such other reasonable tasks as may be requested
