Bar Staff

We are currently looking for a professional Bar Staff and an enthusiastic Bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience to be part of the ongoing success of our Hotel. As a Bar staff member, you will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations.

**As a Bar Staff, your key tasks will be**:

- Supervising the daily operation of the bar when on duty.
- Maximizing sales through food and beverage
- Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks
- Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations
- Comply with the company’s legal obligations with respect to the Sales of Alcohol legislation
- Ordering/ re-ordering of stock as per the need.
- Staff training and development.
- make, serve, and take orders for drinks
- clean and tidy the bar area
- check customers' identification for proof of legal drinking age
- Handle cash, EFTPOS and other payment

**Minimum 30 Hours Guaranteed.**
- Should be available to work on weekends and evening shifts.
- Manager’s certificate or LCQ is preferable
- Pokie Machine and Gaming Experience is preferable
- Should have relevant work visa / NZ PR / NZ Citizenship.
- may work full time or part time. They may do shift work, and often work evenings and weekends

**Salary**: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Flexible hours

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ashburton, Canterbury: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
