**Job Description**:
Our Civil Infrastructure Business is looking for a highly driven Transport Planner at the Principal or Senior level in our Hamilton office. The role will have a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with key clients, leading and enhancing the transport planning technical practice within the local team and offering technical expertise to the wider organisation.

This is an opportunity to utilise your considerable experience within the transportation sector, supporting relationships with existing clients and actively seeking new business opportunities to develop the AECOM brand.

**About you**:
Confident in preparing business cases you’ll enjoy being in the fore front of business case development with our clients.

Seasoned in mentoring transport planners, engineers and modellers you will be able to support them in developing technical solutions to client's problems through high-quality project delivery.

Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and external parties by delivering quality work

Lead the development of business cases for key projects including major multi-modal infrastructure schemes

Develop and retain a high level of technical skill

Provide mentorship transport planners, engineers modellers to enhance their careers and service offerings to clients

Proficient in Project Management

**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

5+ years’ relevant experience preferably in a consulting environment with exposure to delivering large scale transport infrastructure projects

Strong technical skills, knowledge, and experience in multi-modal transport planning including land use and transport integration

Experience and sound fundamental understanding of transport modelling including micro, meso and macroscopic modelling

Consulting experience with extensive business case development experience and understanding of central government infrastructure funding

Experience in delivery of integrated land use / transport planning studies for regions/corridors

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport planning

Master’s Degree while not essential will be beneficial

CPEng Desirable but not essential
