**Key tasks and responsibilities**:
Carrying out inspections on bodywork and frames of vehicles to assess extent of damage

Based on the initial assessment, deciding whether to repair or replace bodywork

Disassembling damaged vehicle parts and panels Repairing scratches, dents and other damage to bodywork

Replacing any parts and panels that cannot be repaired with new or second-hand parts and panels

Straightening and aligning car frames and bodies using equipment

Cutting and joining replacement parts and panels using equipment

Filling, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces

Refitting and reassembling vehicle body parts and accessories

Replacing or repairing windows, car interiors and exterior trim

May paint vehicles when required Performing final finishing and polishing

Ensuring compliance to industry specifications and safety standards

Any other duties the employer reasonably may require employee to perform
