Dim Sum

We are a reputable restaurant based in Auckland.

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 Chinese Dim Sum Chefs to join our team. We are expecting people who has passion for food, attention to details, ability to multi task and be a proactive member of the team.

You are required to:

- Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment to make doughs for traditional Chinese Dim Sum - buns, rolls, and other pastry foods.
- Make sweet, savory and special ingredient fillings, sources and toppings.
- Check the quality of the ingredients and the prepared raw materials to make sure quality standard are met
- Set, adjust and monitor oven, steamer and other cookware’s temperatures to ensure proper baking, steaming and cooking time
- Take out the Chinese Dim Sum from the forms, trays, steam grids,unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products
- Decorate, glaze and adjust the display of the finished products
- Test the finished products to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality requirements
- Clean and restock workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
