**Full Time Permanent role**

**40 Hours a Week Monday to Friday**

**As the Coatings Supervisor for Petone Engineering you will be responsible for**:

- The day-to-day supervision and management of the Coatings Team
- Ensuring the relevant Quality Assurance checks are met for all work carried out by the Coatings workshop
- Ensuring efficient workflow of Jobs to meet Client and PE Site requirements, including the allocation of resources
- Health & Safety in the workshop especially around hazardous goods handling and management.
- Coordinating between the PE Production Manager, Fabrication supervisor and Site Supervisors for production planning.
- Machinery maintenance and staff management
- Ensure workshop culture aligns with PE values.
- Ensure coatings operations meet the standards set out on SOPs
- Implementing new ideas and streamlining processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost
- Proactively manage problems as they arise

**Key Duties will include**:

- Generate all relevant paperwork for production activity
- Generate all relevant quality management data for production activities.
- Carry out all coating activities when required.
- Generate and complete all H&S related paperwork.
- Generate and complete daily operational paperwork.
- Carry out quality inspections
- Receipting all inward material, ensure they meet all quality requirements.
- Record all required vital metrics.
- Carry out monthly stock takes

**Qualifications and skills required**
- 3+ years experience as a supervisor, or workshop manager in a coatings workshop
- Knowledge and experience in the coatings industry and Q&A process
- Supervisor/ Manager or Team Leadership experience
- Experience and skills in Scheduling, Job Management and Time Management
- Forklift License would be an advantage.
