We are looking for a motivated and experienced Category Assistant to support our Local Merchandise Manager in the development and execution of the local category strategy across all locations in Oceania.

**The role**:
This role supports the planning, development, and analysis of assortments and assists the Local Merchandise Manager in their daily business. The Category Assistant plays an active part in improving the overall work flow of the category.

The duties involve but are not limited to:

- Point of contact regarding support with our local and global vendors
- Management of Vendor and brand creation/set up process
- Management of sku creation and assortment maintenance process
- Support in sales analysis
- Management of Purchase Orders
- Support in all pricing-related topics
- Support in generating information/material for presentations
- Support in conducting and analysing relevant market research
- Management of return logistics and other merchandising topics with brand partners
- Support in the analysis of other relevant business needs to drive category strategy
- Takes initiative to highlight any processes that could better align our systems and processes across Oceania and work on implementing them

**Key Requirements**:

- 2-3 years in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent at problem solving and handling multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Action oriented
- Internal customer focus and interpersonal savy
