**About the role**

As a Sterilising Technician will be responsible for the reprocessing of reusable surgical instruments for the Operating Theatre and outlying services. You will monitor, track and keep accurate records, and communicate effectively to identify any faults, missing or required maintenance of equipment.

**About you**

You will be an excellent team player, able to work accurately under pressure with limited supervision, and be committed to delivering the highest standards to ensure patient safety.

You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:

- Minimum NZQA level 3 Sterilising certificate or equivalent experience
- Holds a current NZSSA CSD Registration certificate
- Knowledge of assembly and disassembly, assessing functionality of surgical instruments
- Knowledge of Sterilising machinery and an ability to troubleshoot machinery issues
- Ability to safely handle and reprocess flexible endoscopes is also required
- NZQA Certificate in Cleaning an advantage
