We are looking for an energetic Tenancy Coordinator with great relationship building skills to join our Community Housing Team. This is a busy role where no two days are the same, therefore you will embrace working in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

Napier City Council are landlords who ensure a high level of compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act 1986. Working closely with other contractors, agencies, and stakeholders, we ensure our properties are well presented, well maintained and our tenants are supported. We undertake both tenancy and property management in village communities, providing healthy safe homes to love, with our existing tenants front of mind.

You will need to be pragmatic, resilient, and have a solution focused can-do approach and an appreciation for candour and privacy. Ideally, you will have a high level of knowledge of property and tenancy matters, or the intellect and interest to learn fast on the job.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- NCEA Level 3 or equivalent demonstrated work ability.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal diplomatically and sensitively with people.
- Relationship skills so you can develop positive working relationships with tenants, staff and all external agencies.
- A pragmatic and common sense approach.
- The ability to work outside normal working hours in emergencies
- Current driver's licence
