**Residential Support Worker**
- ** Permanent, Full-time - 40 hours per week**:

- **Service operates 24 hours, 7days a week on a rotating roster.**This role will potentially include a mixture of Day and Awake (overnight) shifts to be discussed further at interview
- **Poutama is based in Swanson, Auckland**:

- **Pay Band: $25.00 - $30.00ph.**_This_**_Service falls under the Care and Support Workers Pay Equity Settlement. Pay is determined by qualification and equivalence to the National Certificate of Health and Wellbeing L4. Ember is currently paying $1 above pay equity requirements_

**The Service | Ko Te Whare O Poutama**

Poutama is an 8-bed residential facility based in West Auckland. The service employs both clinical and support workers who collaborate with the residents to help them recover from mental health and addiction issues.

Poutama was the very first service in New Zealand to operate a ‘harm reduction’ philosophy, which has brought both unparalleled success and unique challenges. Accessed through the Waitemata District Health Board Adult Mental Health Services, most people stay for no more than one year.

Support Workers/Kaimahi, we believe, are the key ingredient for successful client outcomes. With our model of working, you will utilise your experience, skills, and knowledge of mental health rehabilitation to overcome any obstacles and barriers our whai ora may face.

Above all, we are looking for those who can embrace the breadth and variety of the role, which ranges from basic practical help to pioneering therapeutic support.

**You will | Nga Pukenga**
- Have/are working towards a National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing L4 or equivalent.
- Have experience working with Mental Health and/or Addictions
- Have the ability to work in a team environment and from a bicultural perspective.
- Be professional and have good boundaries and ethics.
- Have experience working in the area of mental health and/or addictions (alcohol and other drugs)
- Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Valid/Current work visa, residency, or citizenship
- Have a passion for walking along side those in need, supporting on-going goals on the pathway to recovery.
