**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**
An opportunity exists for an exceptional administrator to join the Surgical Scheduling Team based at Tauranga Hospital as a Surgical Scheduler/Administrator.
The main purpose of this position is to schedule patients appropriately for clinic appointments and surgery at Tauranga or Whakatāne Hospital in line with the Ministry of Health requirements. This role requires excellent administrative skills, attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to problem solve and think outside the box. It is an important part of a team who work closely together and with multiple stakeholders across Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. It will also require a high level of flexibility as it will be providing support across the whole surgical scheduling team as required.
This role is covered by the PSA National Health Administration Collective Agreement Salary Band 5 - $74,090 to $81,864.

To be successful in this position you will have the ability to work to a high level and provide excellent customer service. You will be a strong communicator both in verbal and written communication while having well-developed interpersonal skills.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in an administrative position. You will have comprehensive knowledge of patient information systems and have a high level of detail and organisational skills.
