Currently, we are searching for multiple talented **Wall and Floor **Tilers to join our dynamic team in **Waikato Region.**

**Job Title**: Wall and Floor Tiler

**Wages**: $30hr

**Days required**: Monday to Friday, may need to work on weekends.

**Hours per week**: Minimum 35 hours and opportunity for overtime

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Discuss tiling designs and options with clients and provide quotes based on their requirements.
- Lay liquid waterproof membranes in showers and bathrooms to prevent water damage and mould growth.
- Make and lay adhesives for tiles to be laid on, ensuring that they are level, straight, and properly aligned.
- Cut, shape, and lay tiles using specialized tools, ensuring that they fit tightly and securely in place.
- Seal and polish tiles to protect them from stains and damage and give them a glossy or matte finish as desired.
- examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work
- preparing wall and floor surfaces including removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces.
- spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and tiles, and setting tiles in position
- using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes.
- ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced.
- grouting tiles, and cleaning and removing excess grout.
- lay floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar composition.
- lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics.
- Cleaning and priming of substrates ahead of the tilers.
- Mixing of adhesive for the tilers and carrying it to them.
- Mixing of masonry mortar for free forming of the shower bases
- Cleaning up of the workstations and the site’
- Keep the work vehicles clean and tidy.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and meets the required specifications.
- Following all health and safety procedures and regulations on site
- Work with deadlines and schedules.

**Good to have but not mandatory**:

- Must be able to read and interpret plans and drawings.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have a good eye for detail and be able to work to a high standard.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy tiles and equipment.
- Knowledge of tile materials, adhesives, and grouts.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
