We have an exciting opportunity to join the** New Zealand Debt Management (NZDM)** team as Senior Transactional Services Manager. NZDM oversees the Government's borrowing requirements and associated financial market activities. The **Accounting and Transactional Services** team are responsible for providing settlement services for NZDM transactional activities, aiming to ensure that all NZDM transactions are settled and reconciled in a timely, efficient and secure manner. The team disburses funding across the Crown and manages relationships with NZDM Registry and custodians service providers.

As our **Senior Transactional Services Manager, **you will work alongside our high performing team:

- Helping to ensure that all of our daily financial market's transactions are settled in an accurate and timely manner,
- Performing functions including confirming transactions with counterparties and preparing supporting documentation for cashflows,
- Performing responsibilities within payments systems that are used by NZs Financial institutions,
- Interacting with our Dealing and Accounting teams to ensure our records are accurate and up to date,
- Building engaging relationships with our diverse counterparties (Domestic and International banks, Crown agencies and entities, Registry and Custodial service providers).

This role is primarily tasked with the delivery of the Settlements function. Ensuring the successful settlement of all NZDM financial market transactions are made on a consistently timely and accurate basis.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

- Previous financial markets settlements experience,
- An enthusiasm to learn about NZ Debt Management processes,
- An interest in the operation of Financial Markets and a desire to understand financial instruments,
- Strong numeric skills, accuracy and attention to detail,
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills,
- The highest level of personal responsibility and ethics.
