We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Casual Transcriptionists to join our dynamic, supportive, fun environment based at Bay of Plenty.

This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on a diverse range of services based on workload demands. _This position for an on-call person who will provide cover when staff are on leave and when additional duties require extra resource_. Our Transcriptionist's are committed to providing an exceptional service to our clinicians, patients and whānau. This role provides high quality and accurate typewritten material and ensures compliance and operational use of all Hospital medical typing processes.

You need to cope well with a high demanding workload and computer skills are a must.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Completes the process of transcribing voice-recorded medical reports that are dictated by physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners. These are dictated over the phone or uploaded digitally.
- Editing/Formatting of typed letters.
- Transcription work is performed according to standard practice.
- Manage and prioritise tasks based on workload fluctuations, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.

**He Korero mōu | About You**

**To be successful in the role you must have**:

- Previous experience in the New Zealand healthcare sector
- Competent with transcription
- Minimum typing speed of 70wpm with 85% accuracy rate
- experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading abilities.
- Organisational skills to manage tasks and documents efficiently.
- Adaptability to handle changing workloads and tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
