Ideally you will be...
- Assisting the Head chef in ensuring the kitchen is clean and tidy pre, during, and post service.
- Help in prepping for service and other tasks to support the kitchen team.
- cleaning kitchens, food preparation areas and sculleries
- cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants.
- transferring, weighing and checking supplies and equipment
- assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking, and preparing salads, savouries, curries, snacks, and Indian breads
- preparing tandoori rotis and naans
- packing food and beverage trays for serving
- cooking, toasting and heating simple food items.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Be a fast learner
- Flexible with shifts & working on weekends
- Able to engage with colleagues easily
**Salary**: $28.20 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Te Awamutu, Waikato: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
