The role of the Asset Manager is accountable for ensuring the Management of all company fixed and mobile assets that are fundamental to the success of the business and its overall profitability. Management of all company assets is achieved through the implementation and operation of the Asset Management Framework (AMF).

Initially the role will be focused on the Plant activities with a view to incorporating mobile maintenance departments at a later date.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Participate in the overall leadership of the Macraes mine site, as a core member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), and as machinery, equipment and maintenance advisor to line managers.
- Develop and modify where necessary an appropriate organisational structure for the maintenance function, based on meeting asset management output requirements, objectives and timelines.
- Lead and manage the overall performance of employees in the asset management function. Provide technical and technological advice and guidance to asset management staff.
- Oversee organizational and administrative aspects of the asset management function including:

- capital requirements for infrastructure and/or major equipment;
- major logístical organization;
- procurement of required materials and equipment;
- operational budgeting and cost management in the asset management function;
- administrative procedures, standards and controls;
- productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness within the asset management function.
- Develop and maintain contingency plans and emergency-preparedness procedures in respect of identified potential risks/threats.
- Liaise with operational management regarding strategies and plans for optimizing operational availability of machinery and equipment, while at the same time ensuring that necessary maintenance and repair functions are carried out.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to operations on all machinery and equipment matters and maintenance issues.
- Ensuring that a strong health and safety culture is maintained within asset management remit.

**Qualifications**:

- Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred
- Engineering and Maintenance experience and at least 15 years of demonstrable Industry experience.
- 15-20 years relevant experience working within the Mining Industry or in a fast paced civil, construction or manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience, especially in managing maintenance functions.
- Track record of delivering fixed and mobile asset availability
