**Job Description**:
**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We are seeking an Engineer with experience and passion for geothermal renewable energy. You will be based at the historic Wairakei Power Station, in one of the most beautiful regions in Aotearoa and be part of passionate team of experts, that supports personal and professional development, with a shared purpose of building upon the geothermal traditions of the past to ensure a lasting renewable future.

In this role you will support geothermal drilling and intervention operations. Your support will contribute to the development of new power stations and will help us to continue to lead in the industry.

We could write a long wish list of the technical skills we’re after but how about thisbelow is a taster of some of the skills and experience we’re seeking. If you have more to offer, apply
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications and working towards professional registration (CPEng, Int PE), with strong analytical skills
- 5-10 years’ experience in the geothermal or deep drilling industry.
- Leadership skills coupled with a strong health and safety focus.
- Experience with geothermal drilling and intervention operations.
- Openness to trying new approaches and a keen eye for innovative approaches and solutions.
- Experience with project management and contract management,
- Knowledge of financial modelling for the evaluation of investment opportunities.

You’re known for being a genuine team player, with excellent relationship building skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

You are an excellent communicator both verbally and in written formats. You thoroughly enjoy sharing knowledge and can easily explain complex issues to those who may not have a technical background.

You have a growth mindset; you lead yourself to a high standard and enjoy leading others.

You’re a problem-solving professional who comes up with efficient and practical solutions and has an awareness of the impact these decisions have on others.
